Ahead of Sunday’s Sevilla face-off. Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has aired his view on reports linking Jose Mourinho with a return to the Bernabau.
Insisting he is unfazed by it, despite the team falling apart in recent times.
Zidane’s return to Madrid was greeted with a sense of relief, with the club having failed to replicate the success he managed during his first time at the dugout.
However, a shambolic Los Blancos side, have taken its failure rating to a whole new level. With a 3-0 Champions League defeat to Paris Saint Germain forcing fans to a retreat, and demanding the specialist Jose Mourinho be returned to the realms.
Zidane however believes the reaction to his side’s form is typical, insisting the reports of a possible return for the legendary Portuguese manager does not bother him.
“It doesn’t bother me, it is what it is,” Zizou said. “Here, you lose one game and you have to change everything.
“It’s hard but it’s the reality. We have always had difficulties, even when we were winning. There have always been complicated moments at this club and you can always overcome them.
“What is said outside the club doesn’t matter, as we have strength inside. I don’t feel questioned, it’s the other way around.
“If it weren’t like this, it’d be better to leave. Until the last moment, the people in house have the power.”
