Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will bide his time in wait to secure PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, as he believes the striker’s dream is to play at the Bernabeu.
Kylian Mbappe has been on the deck of young elites since his move to PSG, the 20-year-old scoring an astonishing 69 goals and providing 36 assists in his 97 appearances for the club.
It’s public knowledge, that Mbappe has been on Real Madrid’s radar for a long time now. With the summer signing having put his future at the French capital in doubt, when he stated his desire for a new project, as the last season drew its curtains close.
Zidane will wait on the Ronaldo prodigy, in the hope his long known desire to feature at the Santiago Bernabeu will see to his eventual arrival.
“It will be the player who makes the decision on his future,” Zidane said about the 20-year-old at a press conference on Tuesday.
“At the moment he is with PSG.
“In the future, we’ll see, he has always said that his dream was to play at Real Madrid one day.”
According to Goal, Former Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev this week claimed the attacker told him he moved to the French capital because it was “too early” for him to make the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.
If that’s the case, then the Real Madrid faithfuls would happily lie in wait for the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, when his contract expires in 2022, as per rumors.
Real Madrid will meet Paris Saint Germain in match week 5 of the Champions League Group A game on November 26. With both teams to fight for the top spot, that is of course if Real Madrid sees off Wednesday’s opponent Galatasaray to keep them within reach of the top spot.
