Juventus could offload forward Federico Bernardeschi by summer if the Italian fails to impress coach Maurizio Sarri in the next six months.
This is according to reports from Calciomercato, which says that the 25-year-old Italian has failed to live up to the potential he showed during his time with Fiorentina. Since his arrival from the Florence based club in the summer of 2017.
Bernardeschi has made 88 appearances for Juventus, scoring only nine goals and providing 11 assists. The forward only contributing to a single goal so far in his 18 appearances this season.
His contract with Juventus runs till 2022, but the club would look to sell him in the summer, with his wages a bother, especially with his little input and dropping market value.
Federico Bernardeschi was signed for £40m in 2017, and with transfermarkt still tagging the forward as worth the same price. It’s obvious why Juventus are worried they may be at a loss, should they fail to sell before his market value drops on the charts.
Rumors have it that Premier League giants Liverpool and La Liga’s Atletico Madrid would be interested in a deal for Federico Bernardeschi but may have to wait till summer when Juventus hope to secure a better deal, and more sale options for the Italian.
