Valderrama: James has to leave Real Madrid because of Zidane

James Rodriguez must find his way out of Real Madrid.

This is according to Iconic South American figure Carlos Valderrama, who believes the Columbian would be better off away from Zinedine Zidane.

Following Bayern Munich’s failure to sign James Rodriguez, the midfielder returned to the Santiago Bernabau. Real are looking to offload a few players in the summer, with James one of the few who are likely to leave the Los Blancos.

However, according to reports, James Rodriguez is pushing to stay at the club. With Atletico Madrid and Napoli sternly interested in signing the midfielder.

For now, James remains a Real Madrid player. But Columbian legend Carlos Valderrama believes its paramount the midfielder quits the Los Blancos this summer, as Zinedine Zidane has made it clear, Rodriguez has no future at the Santiago Bernabau.

“James? He should go to another team.” He told Blog Deportivo.

“The coach doesn’t want him and he won’t play if he stays in Real Madrid. He should leave, that’s just how it is.

“When James signed for Madrid the fans were excited and so was the president, but the coach just doesn’t want him.”

Valderrama has no doubt over the qualities that James Rodriguez possesses, as he believes his fellow country man has the qualities to fit in literally anywhere else. And wants the midfielder to find the recognition he deserves.

“The problem here is that he is not going to play if he stays in Real Madrid.” He added.

“It would be better for him to leave, given that the coach is the one in charge of the starting lineup.

“Considering his skills he can play in every club.”
