Is it too late, or could Manchester United still have long-term target Alex Sandro in the summer? With reports the Old Lady’s are ready to move on from the long-term Man Utd target.
According to Teamtalk, ‘Italian international Leonardo Spinazzola has recently come into the side at left-back, and has impressed enough for the recently crowned Serie A champions to consider cashing in on the more expensive Sandro, in favour of giving more space to their academy graduate, who is now 26 years old.’
Sandro joined the Turin side back in 2015, and has gone on to contribute immensely to the team’s success, scoring 10 goals and providing 20 assists. However, according to the reports, the left back is now deemed excess to requirements and would be allowed to leave in the summer for an offer of at least €50 million .
€50m sure seems a little heavy, but with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperate to sign, and United obviously short-handed without the services of Luke Shaw as witnessed against Everton. Alex Sandro may yet be an ideal alternative to a pending issue at the club.
A deal for Sandro won’t come that easy though, with French Champions Paris Saint Germain also reportedly in the race to sign the Brazilian international.
