Manchester United continue the battle to keep Frenchman Paul Pogba at Old Trafford, following interest from Real Madrid.
Paul admitted to ‘dreaming’ of a career at the Santiago Bernabau, while Real Madrid have also publicly consented to being interested in the midfielder.
Whilst the battle continues to intensify, as the summer window draws closer, talkSport pundit Tony Cascarino has called for Paul Pogba to be sold, and his transfer fee invested in deals to secure Luka Modric, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Declan Rice.
“This August will be three years of Paul Pogba. How has he been in those three years?
“We’ve seen some really good highs. He’s had his moments but not consistent enough and not brilliant enough to be a player you want to build a team around.
“He’s 26-years-old. I, personally, would sell him.
“Why? You would get a fantastic fee for him that would enable you to build a team of other players that would contribute if not the same or more than Pogba can.
“I think United have had an alright Paul Pogba. No better than that. I think he’s had good moments. What would you give him out of 10 for his three-year period? Seven at best.”
Tony Cascarino didn’t regress at this, as he spoke on Luka Modric, Aaron Wan Bissaka and Declan rice.
“I’d take Modric in a heartbeat
“I think he has two or three years in him and he’s a fantastic player. He is one of the main reasons why Real Madrid have been so successful.
“Can you go and get a Wan-Bissaka? Can you go and get a Declan Rice?
“Can you go and get talent around the country and add to what you’ve already got?”
