Tuesday features a host of big teams and mouth-watering fixtures. Real Madrid face Roma, Valencia host Juventus and Cristiano Ronaldo, Benfica welcome Bayern Munich, Lyon come to the Etihad while Man utd travel for their fixture against the young boys.

Defending champions Real Madrid will begin their title defence at home against Roma for this year’s campaign.

The reigning champions have no fresh injuries and would most definitely feature a strong team against the Italian side. Roma however have no striking injury concerns and would be hoping they could undo the 2016, 2017 and 2018 champions. Whew, that’s a long time to hold a trophy, don’t you think ?

Still in Spain, Valencia welcome Juventus for their first champions league fixture with the league’s highest goal scorer Cristiano Ronaldo expected to make his official ucl debut for the Italian side.

It might be a bad time for the Spanish side as Cristiano Ronaldo comes into this fixture fresh from scoring his first two serie A goals against Sassuolo in the weekend.

Valencia have no fresh injury concerns and is expected to feature an unchanged side for the fixture after a 2-2 draw with Levante in the weekend.

Juventus on the other hand have a hoard of talents to pick from and Massimiliano Allegri would be sure to make most use of the squad depth to his advantage. How many do predict for Cristiano Ronaldo tonight ?

After back to back wins against Burnley and Watford, Man united travel to Switzerland to face the young boys in their first fixture for this year’s campaign.

Jose Mourinho would travel without captain Antonio Valencia for precautionary reasons and is expected to have Luke Shaw back in the team with Diogo Dalot likely to get his debut too.

In an interview, the manager had asked the players to channel their inner Rodger Federer whose home they play in as they look to overturn the young boys.

“We are in Switzerland, the home of one of the best ever tennis players, and I’m pretty sure that the big man sometimes is not happy to play on such a surface – but he has to play and has to win.

“He has a favourite surface but he has to win on the surfaces he is not in love with. We have to do it.”

Among other big games of the night would see Lyon and Memphis Delay return to England, while Bayern Munich Travel to face Benfica.

The champions league Wednesday fixtures promise loads of action and possibly goals and that’s what we like most about the prestigious tournament.

What’s your take on tonight’s games ?
