Real Madrid plot summer bid for €80 million Bayern Munich left back David Alaba

Real Madrid are reportedly considering a summer move for €80 million rated Bayern Munich left back David Alaba.

Marcelo is down the chain of command of left backs at the club, following series of lack lustre displays and has now been linked with a summer switch to Juventus.

Florentino Perez is unlikely to pose any obstacle to Marcelo’s impending exit, and has however turned his attention to the Austrian machine David Alaba as the Brazilian’s successor according to DonBalon.

Without doubt, David Alaba is a perfect upgrade and one of the few names who could match the feat managed by an in-form Marcelo in the past, hence the €80 million price tag slapped on the left back by Bayern Munich.

Alaba, 26, is no stranger to success and could offer Madrid the cover they’ve lack in the past few years, following Marcelo’s inconsistency. The left back is also able to feature as a center back and a central midfielder, which is a great addition for the Los Blancos in injury cases.

David Alaba has contributed to two goals and provided four assists in 32 appearances so far this season, and is currently tied to the German side until 2021. However, the Los Blancos are willing to offer the 26-year-old a lucrative long-term deal to lure him to the Santiago Bernabau in the summer.
