Qatar offer sees David Silva pondering Manchester City exit - Qatar, Manchester City, David Silva

David Silva could leave Manchester City this summer, with reports the 33-year-old has received a huge two-year retirement offer from Qatar.

The midfielder has been an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s multi title-winning squad, and while it’s would be sad to see him leave, City will not stand in his way of Qatar’s retirement offer worth £12 million this summer.

Manchester City are reportedly making plans in case of the midfielder’s departure, with the citizens already mulling on a summer deal for Monaco’s £40 million rated Youri Tielemans – who is also wanted by Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham.

Silva has just a year left on his current contract with Man City, and ‘would be a really big surprise, if the Spaniard misses out a tax-free £6m-a-year deal which will see him double his current wage at the Etihad.’

Should the midfielder opt  to  leave, David Silva would be bringing to an end, his nine stay at the Etihad since his €28.75 million move from Valencia in 2010. During which the Spaniard won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and four League Cups – to inevitably make him one of the club’s most decorated players.

A leave for Silva, would mean City have a stern job to do in the summer window. Probably losing two veteran players in Vincent Kompany and now David Silva, after completing a historic domestic Treble.
