Mauro Icardi may have returned to Inter Milan’s matchday squad, but the Argentine is far from settled at the club following his dispute with Inter’s hierarchy.
The striker has been linked with a move away from the club, with several European clubs showing interest in the player. However, according to recent reports, Paris Saint Germain are now in pole position to secure the former Captain, as Edison Cavani recently put his future with the French Champions in doubt.
“My future? I have a contract here. One more year. What do you want? I’m good, serene, happy with the life and the supporters. But in football, you never know.” Cavani said.
Inter Milan won’t fight to keep Mauro Icardi beyond the season, should an offer of at least €70 million be offered, according to several sources. Juventus are hoping for an all Argentine swap between Icardi and Dybala, but Inter will prefer a cash deal with PSG, should the Ligue 1 side make the offer.
Should a deal materialize, Icardi would team up with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr, in what could be the world most devastating front three at the moment.
Elsewhere, PSG also face a stern competition with Premier League side Manchester United, who are prepared to offer the Nerazzurri a target in Romelu Lukaku, in exchange for the services of Mauro Icardi.
