Paris Saint Germain are set to make a huge bid for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, with the French Champions hoping to beat Man United and Chelsea to the 24-year-old target.
Savic was a major and consistent name on every European club’s wish list in the past summer window, as Manchester United, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Real Madrid were all linked to securing the Serbian’s signature.
However, Lazio refused to bulge, with the 24-year-old valued at £130 million. A fee which seemed rather too inflated for several suitors in the summer.
Reports from Teamtalk via Calciomercato now suggests Lazio president Claudio Lotito has lowered his £130m valuation of the player, with Paris Saint Germain reportedly readying a massive £91m summer bid to land the midfielder from the club.
Milinkovic-Savic is nowhere near the form which saw him steal the headline in the previous summer window, and Lazio are hoping to cash in on the midfielder while there is still a chance.
Sergej has been involved in just four goals and two assists in 30 appearances so far this season, a figure which seems rather depreciating when compared to fourteen goals and nine assists he hit in 48 appearances last term.
