Paris Saint Germain are slowly being picked apart by injury, as Uruguayan striker Edison Cavani picked up an injury, with a Champions league fixture against Manchester United only just a couple of days away.
The striker scored from a spot kick to earn PSG all three points against Bordeaux, but ended up getting himself injured in the process.
Thomas Tuchel opted to take the striker off, to prevent further complications to his injury, as Edison Cavani is now a major doubt for the round of 16 clash against Manchester United on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media, Tuchel couldn’t confirm if Edi would feature in the Champions League or not, as he revealed the striker will undergo tests as required before jumping to any conclusion.
“We have to wait. I don’t have good news” he said
“I honestly don’t know if Cavani will play. Yes it is worrying. We don’t have another Edi like we don’t have another Neymar.”
Marco Verrati has only just returned from injury, with the midfielder featuring for 59 minutes in PSG’s 1-0 win over Bordeaux. However, with Neymar being ruled out for the next 10 weeks, Tuchel must be worried of losing anymore of his players before the Champions League face off against Manchester United.
