In the event of David Silva’s exit from Manchester City at the end of next season. Pep Guardiola has identified Real Madrid playmaker Isco Alarcon as an ideal replacement to the leaving Spaniard.

David Silva is in the last year of his contract, and in a statement on Wednesday revealed it’d be the perfect time to take the bow, after ten years of absolute success at the club.

“No, this is the last one. Ten years for me is enough. It’s the perfect time for me.” He said.

“Initially, City were talking about two years, but I decided to sign another one, so I finished at 10 years. It completes the cycle. It’s a nice round figure.

“I can never see myself playing against City for another team. So 10 years – that’s it.”

In Bernando Silva, Pep Guardiola has little to worry about in terms of creativity, but the manager has recently grown to feature both players and will reportedly rekindle his interest in Madrid playmaker Isco Alarcon.

Prior to Zizou’s arrival at the bitter end of last season, Isco Alarcon was subject to a move away from the Santiago Bernabau. The playmaker will most probably still feature in the famous shirts next season, but the midfielder has also been detailed of his limited time in the squad, with Zidane heavily reforming the team this summer.

According to Marca, the Real Madrid player is a pillar on which Pep hopes to find the relief of an essential player for him since he came to the Premier League, and the manager will be hoping Isco’s limited playing time following the arrival of Eden Hazard, would ease his departure to the Etihad next season.

Isco is contracted to Madrid until 2022, with the midfielder to cost around €80 million in the event of a departure. However, Guardiola and City will have enough to spare, having failed to fully immerse themselves in the transfer window in recent times.

Elsewhere, Manchester City are also interested in a €70 million deal for Atletico Madrid’s Rodrigo Hernandez this summer.
