Lyon star Memphis depay had revealed his dream of one day leaving Olympique Lyon and joining one of the European giants, with the 24-year-old naming a few teams that interests him.
“Lyon is a big club, but not one of the five best in Europe,” he said
“I want to go to a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich.”
“I want to go to a city that suits me and a club that suits me, to a team that really wants to play football”
“I always talk about Real Madrid, a royal club, white shirts with gold, gruesome, but I focus on now at Lyon and then we see where I end up.”
Memphis could however be on his way out of Lyon, but not to any of the afformentioned teams, with AC Milan reportedly interested in signing the player.
Reports from Tuttorsports, suggests the 24-year-old could be the ideal companion for winter signing Krzysztof Piatek, who has already hit the ground running with three goals so far for his new club..
Depay has featured in 30 matches for Lyon this season, scoring six goals and providing 13 assists, with the dutch man still under contract until 2021, and worth a certain €50 million in the current transfer market.
