Having sealed the Ligue 1 trophy in the weekend, hat trick hero Kylian Mbappe denied talks linking him with a move away from PSG [ to Real Madrid ]. However, teammate Edison Cavani doesn’t share a similar view of his future at the club.
Mbappe is quit happy to see country man Zinedine Zidane back on the sidelines, but will only ruling for the manager as a mere admirer rather than under his care.
“I am here, I am in the project,” Mbappe said on Canal Plus.
“It’s good for Real Madrid if there is Zizou, but I will watch merely as an admirer.”
He added on his milestone: “The last player to have scored 30 goals is Papin? I knew, I knew. I’m happy, but the season is not over so I can score others,”
While Mbappe was ruling for the ongoing PSG project, teammate Edison Cavani wasn’t so much a devotee, and despite admitting the team was most important, he just couldn’t pledge the unforeseeable future to the French Champions.
“A lot of things happened this season. It’s different every year,” he told Canal +.
“The most important thing is to be able to keep our team together.
“My future? I have a contract here. One more year. What do you want? I’m good, serene, happy with the life and the supporters.
“But in football, you never know.”
