Manchester United will battle it out with rivals Manchester City, and the likes of Arsenal and Wolves for the services of Benfica’s center-back Ruben Dias in the January transfer window.
All four Premier League teams have been considerably deficient at the back so far this season, and are all looking to bolster their squad when the winter window opens.
City and Pep Guardiola, have been largely beridden by injury, while Manchester United needs a better supplement for Harry Maguire, with Victor Lindelof a little too soft for the role.
Arsenal have however been chaotic so far defensively, conceding massively every now and then, and have since seen manager Unai Emery under serious criticism.
With injuries and the need for a new replacement, multiple reports have linked all four teams in the battle for Ruben Dias in January.
The 22-year-old center back has been influential at Benfica, starting a 100 percent of their games so far in all competitions, and scoring two goals in the process.
With Manchester United, Arsenal and surprise competitors Wolverhampton wanderers also in the chase for the Portuguese center back, when the winter window opens for business.
