Manchester United will recall Alexis Sanchez when his loan deal with Inter ends, as reports claim the Utd bosses will give him another chance at Old Trafford.
The news comes as a surprise to the United faithful, who thought they had seen the last of the Chilean and were happy to move on, waiting for a hopefully better replacement.
Sanchez, 31 made 45 appearances in his time at the club, scoring just five goals and apparently, went on to become the biggest flop in Manchester United’s history.
The Chilean has however only just recovered from a serious ankle injury earlier in the season and has made himself available for Inter boss Antonio Conte in the last few games.
However, it seems the target won’t stay beyond the summer, as previously expected. With reports from Goal, revealing Inter’s loan deal for Alexis Sanchez did not include an option to buy, and that Woodward could demand a sizeable fee for him in the summer.
Also according to the Daily Star, Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward does not want to see Alexis Sanchez sold or loaned to another club and is willing to give him another chance at Old Trafford.
Manchester United fans have been left fuming at the decision, as they believe they were so close to expelling a heavy load on their salary budget. And after desperately seeking a way out, seem to be rejecting the only option they’d have to let the £500,000-a-week striker finally leave the theatre of dreams.
