Manchester United fans had a go at Ed Woodward

Manchester United may have cruised to a comfortable 4-0 over Norwich City, but fans want more going forward, as they made their feelings known at Old Trafford.

A brace from Marcus Rashford, plus goals from Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial were enough to see Utd return to winning ways, as well as put a smile on Solskjaer’s face.

However, fans have had enough and let out their feelings as a series of chants aimed at Ed Woodward and the Glazer family could be heard during the fixture at the Theatre of dreams.

“Ed Woodward is a w****r” could be heard in the crowd, while there were also chants of “Build a bonfire, Build a bonfire, Put the Glazer’s on the top, Put Woodward in the middle, And we’ll burn the f*****g lot”.

United have failed miserably especially in terms of transfer business since Alex Ferguson’s retirement from football management at the club.

The red devils have been in the sign and resign business for too long, with Solskjaer looking the best gamble in terms of recruitment, after securing Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James who have all made reasonable input since arriving.

Its winter and the club are yet to make any reasonable moves in the market, losing Erling Haaland to Borussia Dortmund as well countless other names in the past windows.

Manchester United are closing in on Bruno Fernandes with several reports claiming a deal has been struck. Even at that, fans find it hard to believe, with previous experiences only filled with disappointment.

Saturday’s chants are a clear indication that the blame for below-par performances so far are down to the board’s obvious lack of interest and Woodward, not Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
