Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly joined in the race to sign AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek.
The red devils have been further reduced in the attack, with Marcus Rashford not certain to return to the fold before the end of the season.
Solskjaer will in effect look to bolster his faint attacking options and has reportedly made contact with the San Siro over the availability of Krzysztof Piatek.
The gunslinger was hit a fatal blow with the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, after only scoring four goals in 18 Serie A outings for Milan this season.
He would rather stay and fight for his place. But AC Milan would prefer to offload the striker permanently, although the club would be willing to let him leave on loan with an option to buy.
Amongst others, Krzysztof Piatek is also a target to Tottenham Hotspur, who have also lost their striker Harry Kane to injury. Newcastle, Aston Villa, and Serie A’s Fiorentina have also indicated an interest in the 24-year-old.
According to TheSun, The striker’s agents have jetted to England to assess his options during the January transfer window. With AC Milan open to deals within the player’s £35million valuation.
