Manchester City have made it two in the past two seasons, as the Citizens lift the Premier League trophy with just a point difference from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side.
The Merseyside reds must feel heart-broken, having the led for most of the first half of the season. However, taking nothing away, both sides have been nothing short of phenomenal.
Manchester City have clinched their second successive Premier League trophy, and in doing so broke a ten-year standing record. Surely such feat deserves to be remembered, but Liverpool should be proud for putting up a worthy fight.
Pep Guardiola’s City side need not convince anyone else. With the citizens beating literally every opponents in their wake to a Premier League title.
They would however be aware of the fight that next season presents. Liverpool have already shown they are very much as good as it gets, with a Champions League trophy still a possibility.
History is rewritten, the numbers and records are beyond normal, City are the Champions of England. The gap may not have been as extreme as the previous campaign, but Pep Guardiola has surely proved his worth in the Premier League.
