Real Madrid are now believed to be in advanced talks with Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic over a possible deal to the Santiago Bernabau.
Frankfurt are looking to make a fortune from the 21-year-old striker, having activated his €7 million purchase option. And are now hoping to sell to Real Madrid for a fee between €50m – €60m.
Quick, instinctive and deadly, Jovic has been nothing short of impressive so far. Having scored 25 goals and provided seven assists in 41 appearances for the club in the season.
Should a deal for Luka Jovic pull through, Benfica are expected to earn as much as 20 percent of whatever Frankfurt realises from the sale. However, that still spells profit for the Bundesliga side.
Spanish rivals Barcelona, are also reportedly in the race to sign the Serbian striker but reserve concerns over the striker’s ability to function outside the 18 yard box. Bayern Munich and Chelsea are also a few other notable names mentioned, who could snap up the deal, should Real Madrid decide against signing the 21-year-old.
