Losc Lille striker Nicolás Pépé has taken a major stand in the coming transfer window, with the Côte d’Ivoire international topping the wish list for several European clubs.
The 23-year-old is confined to the Losc outfit until 2022 on contract. However, it’s quite unlikely the right-winger will remain at the club over the summer.
Pepe has a lengthy list of suitors, including Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. And according to reports via Le10sport, Liverpool will reportedly join the race for the right-winger should Mohammed Salah leave the club at the end of the season.
Salah could set sail beyond the Anfield, following a strong discussion with Jurgen Klopp. And Liverpool have reportedly identified Nicolás Pépé as the best possible replacement for the Egyptian.
Pepe’s impressive record in the season, currently stands at 20 goals and 14 assists in 35 appearances and counting.
Elsewhere, as per reports from As, ‘Chelsea are believed to have lowered the €150m fee they are seeking for Real Madrid target Eden Hazard to a figure between €103m – €105m, and are preparing to also move for summer target Nicolás Pépé.’
