Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp would be boosted by the return of defender Joel Matip and goalkeeper Becker Allison to training, ahead of a Premier League clash with Manchester United this weekend.
Klopp has had to feature without the services of Becker Allison – who suffered a calf injury since the start of the season. The goalkeeper is however back to training and could be in line for a much-anticipated return against Manchester United.
Allison would be joined by defender Joel Matip, who also picked up a knock before the international break. But has returned in time to feature for the manager when they take on United.
Klopp had refrained from the temptation of having Becker Allison return in Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Leicester City. The manager insisting he won’t be taking the risk, and would rather have the goalkeeper rest through the international break.
Jurgen Klopp would welcome Allison back in good times. As Liverpool head to Old Trafford, in search of a record 18 match winning streak.
Manchester United have struggled since the start of the new season. The red devils failing to score more than a single goal, since their 4-0 win over Chelsea in the opening day.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would, however, be boosted by the return of Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka to the team. With Anthony Martial also another notable name in contention to feature against the Merseyside reds.
United have been abysmal in the season. But make no mistake, the red devils will be no certain walk over, as Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool look to keep their eight-point lead at the top of the League table intact.
