Tottenham Hotspur are confident of appointing Jose Mourinho. After the club reportedly submitted an offer to the Portuguese manager, following Pochettino’s dismissal.

Jose Mourinho has had time to rethink his job status, after being relieved of his duties at Manchester United since December last year.

The Portuguese has constantly stated his intention to return to the dugout. And has now been presented with such opportunity, after Spurs’ shock decision to sack Poch.

Skysports News reports Mourinho’s representatives met with the club late on Tuesday night. With talks between both parties believed to be in its advanced stages.

Tottenham Hotspur have made no decision on even a temporary replacement, should in case an appointment not be before the match against West Ham at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday.

According to reports, this is because the White Lily’s have got a target on Jose Mourinho, and could be ready to make an announcement sometime on Wednesday or Thursday.

Should Mourinho be appointed, the manager would have a hefty work to do. Spurs are currently 14th, sitting just six points above the relegation zone, and 11 points off the top four spots.
