"I would like him to be here" - Courtois hopes on Eden Hazard summer move

Eden Hazard remains torn between joining his dream team Real Madrid and remaining at Chelsea, and had recently revealed he would make his final decision at the end of the season.

Both parties [Chelsea & Real Madrid] have until the season end to convince the Belgian winger to make his decision in their favour, and it seems Thibaut Courtois is already at work, as he hopes to convince his country & former club teammate to seal the move and reunite with him at Real Madrid.

Courtois had hoped Hazard would join him at Madrid in the past summer. However, whilst Thibaut found himself at the Santiago Bernabau, Eden remained at the Stamford bridge and the goalie is now hoping his “friend” could join him at Madrid this time.

“I don’t know if he is going to sign for Real Madrid, nor do I know if the club want him,” Thibaut Courtois told Onda Cero.

“For me, he is a great player, but I don’t decide those things.

“Each one decides what he does with his life. For me, he is one of the best in the world and as a friend I would like him to be here.”

Hazard has made 39 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals and providing 11 assists. However, the Belgian has revealed he is currently focused on helping Chelsea – who sit sixth on the Premier League table – return to the Champions League next season. And only after that, will talks over his future come to play.
