New signing Harry Maguire has been quite influential since arriving at Old Trafford. However, United legend Roy Keane, still has concerns over the defender’s abilities.

The 26-year-old joined Manchester United, in a £80 million ($96m) world record move, replacing Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk as the most expensive defender.

Harry Maguire has started all four of Man United Premier League games, and has impressed enough to draw praises from both the manager and teammates, as well as notable pundits around the world.

Manchester United legend Roy Keane, is however not convinced. As he believes the 26-year-old looks quite vulnerable, saying he’s worried about his [Maguire] pace on the turn.

“I think he’s done OK,” Keane told ITV. “We were talking about how good he is on the ball, but defensively I still think he’s… I still have one or two question marks over him.

“I always worry about his pace on the turn, I remember the first goal against Crystal Palace where he’s not doing the basics – covering round his other centre-half.

“Listen he’s 26 years of age now, you’re worried if you’re pointing these things out to him.”

Apparently, not everyone shares a similar belief over Harry Maguire as Roy Keane. One of them, is ex-Arsenal star Ian Wright, who believes he has seen more than enough, to rate the defender pretty high, and well worth the money.

“He’s a good footballer, he’s a very good footballer,” He said. “He’s gone up the leagues, he’s got better. Now he’s got to Man Utd and it’s the pinnacle really.

“They’ve paid that money for him because he’s worth the money.”
