Sevilla are looking to bolster their squad this summer, with reports Monchi is looking to add quality names and have identified Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech as a possible target.
However, in this case it’s no matter of resources, as the 26-year-old Morroccan does not see himself joining Sevilla now or anytime in the nearest future, no matter the offer.
“With all due respect, they’re not a club that I leave Ajax for,” Ziyech told Algemeen Dagblad.
“For me, it’s key to improve in the sporting aspect.
“If it’s not a club similar to Ajax, I do not see the reason to leave.”
Sevilla are yet to make an official offer for the Ajax player. But with the latest development, it’s unlikely the Spanish side would attempt a goose chase for the Morroccan winger.
Hakim Ziyech is contracted to Ajax until 2021, and formed an integral part of the squad that reached the semi finals of the 2018/2019 Champions League campaign. He scored a total of 21 goals and provided 24 assists in 49 appearances for the club last season.
Elsewhere, reports have also linked Hakim Ziyech – who is valued at €40 million – with moves to Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool.
