Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes Kylian Mbappe is most valuable football asset and deserves to be the most expensive player too, hypothetically.
Mbappe has been nothing short of astonishing, as the France international continues to strive to overtake his football icon Cristiano Ronaldo. Kylian has always had the numbers backing him, and now it seems he’s made the great believe too. And Mourinho is certain the 20-year-old would command a more hefty fee when compared to team-mate Neymar Jr.
Speaking to beIN Sports, Mourinho said: “For a player like Mbappe, when you speak about the future, you don’t need to say what he’s going to be like in five years’ time, in 10 years’ time.
“Just focus on now. He’s absolutely incredible.
“I think going by his age and [and considering] the age of Cristiano, of Messi, [both] over 30, Neymar is 27… when you go to the market level and age is also a factor, I think he’s the most valuable player in the world.
“In a hypothetical transfer, he’s the most expensive player in football now.
“In terms of his qualities, [he is] unbelievable. One word is enough. It means everything.”
Kylian Mbappe is subject to a move to Real Madrid in the summer, with Florentino Perez having admitted interest in securing the 20-year-old superstar as Zinedine Zidane continues to orchestrated a grand come back for his Real Madrid side next season.
