Real Madrid have emerged as shock contenders for Manchester United £35 million center back Eric Bailly this summer.
Bailly is down the chain of command at Old Trafford, with Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof all preferred option so far under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as compared to the former Villarreal player.
According to TheSun, ‘Bailly have heard bosses at the Bernabeu have him on a list of first-tier options, having been beaten to the punch by United when he left Spanish side Villarreal back in 2016 for £30m.’
Zinedine Zidane fancies the 24-year-old and would attempt to lure the center back to the Santiago Bernabau, especially with Frenchman Raphael Varane being linked with quitting the Los Blancos.
Bailly has made 73 appearances for the red side of Manchester, scoring only a single goal since joining in 2016.
The Center back leaving Old Trafford in the summer, will make way for the likes of Harry Maguire, Kalidou Koulibaly, Raphael Varane and Milan Skriniar who have all been linked as part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plan to return Manchester United to the summit of both domestic and European football.
