Eden Hazard continues to be linked with a summer move to Spanish side Real Madrid, a speculation which has only intensified following Zinedine Zidane’s return to the Bernabau dugout.
Hazard continues to keep the Chelsea board on edge, with the Belgian maintaining he is “not working” on a Madrid move, at least not now it seems. But the talisman still refusing to completely commit to life at the Stamford bridge.
The 28-year-old sent chills down the spine of several supporters in the past, when he revealed he had decided on his future, a decision we are yet to see its outcome. However for the moment, it seems Eden is committed to giving his best to the club, but that is only temporary, if his words are anything to go by.
Speaking to VTM Nieuws, when quizzed on reports of a Real Madrid deal in place for the summer, Eden Hazard said: “I’m not working on that right now.
“I want to shine with Chelsea for a few months and try to win the Europa League.
“This week I think about the Red Devils [Belgium] and then back to Chelsea. Then we’ll see.”
At the moment, Eden Hazard seems to be rather engrossed to helping Chelsea qualify for the Champions League next season. And it seems only after then, will the Belgian make his final decision.
“We can win the Europa League – we must win the Europa League, or finish in the top four to play in the Champions League next year.” He added.
“The supporters expect that, the staff expect that and the players expect that as well.
“When I am back at Chelsea I just think about that. I don’t think about what can happen in two, three, four, five months. I don’t know, we’ll see.”
