Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard believes this Chelsea side are capable of beating Premier League reigning champions Manchester City in Saturday’s weekend clash.

A look at the West Londoners’ last visit to the Etihad would suggest Frank Lampard could be battered. With their last visit under Maurizio Sarri ending in a massive 6-0 scoreline back in February.

Lampard has however strung a worthy team since arriving in the summer, and former club talisman Eden Hazard believes this young Chelsea side have genuine hopes of getting the win at Etihad.

Speaking to Skysports about Chelsea’s chances against Man City, Eden Hazard said: “It’s not going to be easy. It’s hard to play there.

“Last time we played them we lost 6-0, so bad memories for me and for Chelsea as well.

“But I think this season they are really good. They are really young, but they are really good, so why not go there and win the game?”

The Real Madrid forward – who is apparently still settling into his new team – is away on international duties. Eden and Belgium take on Cyprus in their final group game, having already qualified for the Euro 2020 alongside Gareth Southgate’s England team.

Asked if England are one of the favorites, Hazard said: “Yeah definitely. I think they are quite similar to Belgium, they have experienced guys with young players – especially Chelsea players!

“But I think they are very good, so top players, they can score every time, in defence they are good, in midfield they are good. So I hope for Belgium if we play them in the Euros we can beat them, but it’s not going to be easy.”
