Manchester City are reportedly ready to offer as much as £ 85 million in a bid to secure Inter Milan defensive target Milan Skriniar in the summer according to Calciomercato.
Skriniar, 24, has been on the transfer books in the past with Premier League side Manchester United. However, the red devils have seemingly turned their attention to Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly, with rivals City now set to step in with a £ 85 million bid for the Slovakian.
According to the reports, ‘Manchester United have tried hard to sign the Slovakian star last summer but Inter rejected every offer that they received from England. A bid in the region of £ 85 million(€100m), however, could make the Italian change their mind, and City are willing to break the dock to sign the defender.
Milan Skriniar is currently tied to the San Siro until 2022, following a £ 25.20 million switch from Sampdoria in 2017. Since the move, the 24-year-old has gone on to make himself indispensable in the team, starting 89 percent of the 36 fixtures he has featured in so far for the club this season.
