Barcelona have joined race for Liverpool winter Bundesliga target Timo werner as both teams look to further bolster their already rich front line.
Timo werner has been wanted by Barcelona according to Spanish outlets who believe the Catalan giants can slip the 22 year old away under Liverpool’s very noses.
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are however said to considering making a winter offer for the stuttgart forward who is valued at a reported £65 million in the current transfer market.
The German international who can play in every position in the front line is currently under contract with Bundesliga side Stuttgart until 2020 having joined the club way back to 2016.
The 22 year old has quite the record, with 11 goals in 17 Bundesliga games so far this season, recording a goal in every 131 minutes, he just might be the man Barcelona need to replace an aging Luis Suarez or supplement to Liverpool’s title surge on all front. The forward also has two assists to his name in as many matches.
Reports claim Ernersto Valverade will go to extreme lenghts in an attempt to sign the forward who is has also generated interests from other European clubs including the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
However, Liverpool and Barcelona are said to be in pole position to sign the player with Valverade set to table an offer once the transfer window opens and teams are ready for business.
