Jurgen Klopp won’t risk Becker Allison against Wednesday’s Champions League opponents Salzburg. But the manager is certain the Brazilian will be ready to face Manchester United.

Becker Allison has been sidelined with a calf injury since Liverpool’s win against Norwich City on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

The Brazilian has since stepped up his recovery and was expected ready for the mid-week fixture against Salzburg. However, despite Allison seemingly eager to return to the Matchday squad, Jurgen Klopp isn’t ready to risk the goal keeper.

“One is Ali’s opinion, the other is the medical department.” Klopp told a new conference. “They are a little bit cautious. We have to see. He looks really well but it was a serious injury and we don’t want to take any risks.

“He didn’t train so far with the team and we have to see for Leicester [on Saturday]. For the Manchester United game [on October 20], probably 100 percent, but we have to see.”

Despite not expected to fully return, until after the international break, when Liverpool face Manchester United. Jurgen Klopp will be extremely happy to have Becker Allison back. With the next series of fixtures bound to test the Merseyside’s resolve for a league trophy this season.
