Bayern Munich have reportedly identified Manchester City forward Leroy Sane, as part of an aggressive overhaul of a rather deteriorating squad this summer.
The German Giants are set to let go of impeccable duo in Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben at the end of the season, with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Leroy Sane said to be one of the first targets in mind to replace the duo.
According to reports, Bayern Munich have opened discussions with Manchester City over the potential summer transfer of Leroy Sane. With the Daily Records revealing; ‘the Bundesliga champions have been granted permission to speak to the Germany international’s representatives with a view to agreeing contractual terms.’
Manchester City intend on keeping Leroy Sane beyond the summer, but the German international feels unhappy and undervalued, despite his impressive input to the club when presented with the opportunity.
Sane’s impressive stats in the season, sees him on 16 goals and 18 assists, despite starting only 55 percent of his Premier League matches, and even less in other major competitions.
The 23-year-old has also rejected a series of offers to upgrade and extend a contract that expires in the summer of 2021.
With deals for Callum Hudson-Odoi and Leroy Sane already in the working, the club hierarchy have continued its summer intent to massively rebuild by agreeing a deal for Atleti’s Hernandez, securing VfB Stuttgart Benjamin Pavard, and had previously submitting a £60m bid for Lille’s Nicolas Pepe – who is also a target for Manchester United.
