Bayern Munich could soon be done with Niko Kovac, and could offer the post to former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho according to reports from footmercato.
Mourinho is without a club since his dismissal from Manchester United’s job in December. Since then, the Portuguese as expected, has been raised on the target list for several clubs including Benfica, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Roma and Paris Saint Germain.
However, he has revealed he is no rush to return to the dugout, although he aims at holding down a job by the start of next season.
Jose has reservations on what club he wants to job, stating words like “ambition” and “structure of empathy”. And it seems Bayern Munich will come calling for the fixer should Kovac vacate his position at the end of the season.
According to the report, the Bayern Munich leadership have been interested in securing Jose Mourinho in the past and would be hoping to make good use of this window of opportunity to ask the Portuguese manager in on the Bavarian’s new project.
However, there are still shady terms on whether Jose Mourinho would agree to step foot on a ground once ruled by his biggest rival Pep Guardiola.
