FC Barcelona are reportedly interested in securing the services of Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and believe they’ve got a chance if the gunners don’t qualify for Champions League this season.
Aubameyang has been lethal for Arsenal, since his move from Borussia Dortmund. But the North London club have failed to reach new heights and the striker is believed to be considering a move in the summer.
Should Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang decide to leave the Emirates, Barcelona will reportedly open the doors of Camp Nou to the striker – who they believe could relieve Luis Suarez of his heavy burden.
The Catalans are aware of the situation at Arsenal and believe they won’t have to spend much to convince the striker to make the switch, having being starved of Champions League football since joining the club.
Aubameyang will have a season left on his contract by the end of the current campaign. As well as fellow striker Alexander Lacazette – who may also be seeking greener pastures elsewhere.
Arsenal could still make a handful from both strikers, rather them risk letting them leave for free by the end of next season. That is, of course, if they fail to sign a new contract with the club.
Metro reports the chances of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazette leaving are high, especially if manager Unai Emery remains at the club beyond the season.
Barcelona will look to tap into the chaos at Arsenal, to secure the 50 goal striker for a cheaper price. With the promise of a Champions League place, a strong point for the Catalans.
