Manchester United are close to agreeing a contract extension with French striker Anthony Martial on a five-year-deal, with David De Gea also ready to commit to the club.

Both players had rejected a contract offer from Manchester United in the past year, and were headed for the exit at the end of their current contract with the club, having had doubts of United’s future under Jose Mourinho.

However, Martial and David are now set to put pen to paper after making a remarkable turn around in their previous decision.

Anthony Martial has reach an agreement to keep him at the red devils till 2024 according to the Mirror, while David De Gea seems to have finally made up his mind to committing to the club and now aims at even finishing his career with the red devils after a heart-felt ovation from his teammates and fans in a crucial win against Tottenham Hotspur.

After a rocky relationship with former manager Jose Mourinho, with the Portuguese even suggesting selling the player according to several sources, Anthony Martial has now settled in well with new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and even back him for the job.

“At the moment everything goes very well, all the players are happy. So if it goes on like that, why not?” he said.

Anthony Martial’s contract extension is definitely music to the ear for every Man United fans, and with David De Gea soon to follow. It can only get better under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they look to make it back to the Champions League with a top four finish.
