Alexis Sanchez may be in his last days in the famous Manchester United outfit, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed the star – who is returning from injury – could be in contention for Tuesday night’s fixture at the Camp Nou.
Sanchez has shown nothing near his money worth since arriving at Manchester United, and despite Solskjaer having admitted there was nothing special he could do to revive the Chilean, the manager is hoping he could be helpful, with some important and season deciding matches coming up for the red devils.
“When he is on the pitch he wants to prove a point for us as well,” Solskjaer said.
“Let’s hope he can end the season great for us. We are playing games that United are used to. We are still challenging for a semi-final. Let’s hope Alexis when he is on the pitch he can be happy with his performance.”
Both Sanchez and Anthony Martial are in bad places at the moment, the latter having failed to reach half his self in recent times.
Alexis Sanchez featuring against the Catalans, would be one in a lifetime opportunity for the winger, who could very well decide his future when he comes face to face with one of his previous employers FC Barcelona.
