About Gargi College
It is one of the top colleges in Delhi under the University of Delhi. Gargi College is affiliated under Delhi University, in the year 1967.
The college offers Arts and Humanities, Science, Commerce, and Education for Women. Gargi College has been honored with Star College status by the Government of India for the Department of Biotechnology. The College is located in Delhi, India and the principal is Promila Kumar, the College has Celebrated it’s Golden Jubilee in the year 2016.
Gargi College is one of the leading south campus Colleges of the University of Delhi.
History of Gargi College
The name of the college was given for an enlightened women figure called Gargi, one of the prominent figures in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad of the Vedic Age.
Gargi believed that every student who passes through the college portals becomes a developed individual. Gargi College is one of the two colleges in Delhi which is awarded the prestigious college with an excellent grant and potential as stated by the University Grants Commission in 2004-2005
because of its holistic approach towards teaching the students as well as excellent records not only in academics but also in other activities of the college.
There are nine departments in Gargi College who are involved in innovation and experimentation for the undergraduate student’s program, by using modern methods of learning and evaluation those nine departments are
Botany, Chemistry, Zoology, Commerce, Elementary Education, Microbiology, Physics, Psychology, and Women’s Development Centre.

Cut off for Gargi College Admission 2020
In 2020 the cut-off in Gargi College is expected to release soon by October 12, 2020. Gargi College offers 20 undergraduate courses and 5 postgraduate courses as updated till 2020.
The selection for the post-graduation course is done either by merit list or by an entrance examination.

Admission Updates of Gargi College
The Registration of Undergraduate and Postgraduate started on 20 June 2020 and the last date for applying in Postgraduate courses was on 18 July 2020.
The upgradation of Class 12 Marks was on 9 August 2020 and the last date for applying in Undergraduate courses was 31 August 2020.
The Entrance Exam of Delhi University forms was available from 20 June to 31 August 2020 and the Admit Card for the entrance exam was released on 29 August 2020.
The Entrance Exam held from 6 September 2020 to 11 September 2020. The first cutoff list is yet to be released and it is expected to release on 12 October 2020. However, there are certain seats which are reserved for some students belonging to different caste and tribe-like
Scheduled Caste reserves 15% seats, Scheduled Tribe reserves 7.5% seats, Other Backward Caste reserves 2.7% seats, and the persons who are physically handicapped reserves 5% seats.
