About Carnival Row Season 2

Carnival Row is a neo-noir fantasy television series based on a feature film speculative screenplay ‘A killing on Carnival Row’ written by Travis Beacham, co-created by René Echevarria and Travis Beacham. The show is a perfect amalgamation of mythical creatures and murder mysteries and has gained quite a following since it first premiered on Amazon Prime on the 30th of August 2019, with eight one hour episodes.

The show follows mythical, magical creatures seeking refuge in a city, where conflicts are rising with citizens and an immigrant population. This neo-noir drama brings with it a good share of love, mystery, and an obsession overpower. Orlando Bloom stars as Rycroft Philostate, an office, and an investigator, while model turned actor Cara Delavigne stars as Vignette Stonemoss, a mythical creature known as fae inspired by European folklore and harnesses magical abilities.

Since its premiere, people have fancied the extensive visuals, unique costumes, and noir setting of Carnival Row. So, the question arises, when can we expect another season?

Carnival Row Season 2 Release Date:

Carnival Row was renewed for a second season before the airing of its first season. Though the second season was scheduled to air during the summer of 2020, production took a set back with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The crew, however, were happy to inform that the show had completed most of its production with only two weeks of shooting left on the agenda. With generous efforts from the Czech Republic and their government, Carnival Row has come out to be one of the very first shows to wrap up production amidst the coronavirus outbreak.

The second season is expected to air on Amazon Prime towards the end of 2020 or early 2021, with only post-production left on the table.

Carnival Row Season 2 Plot, Cast:

Not much has been revealed about the plot of the second season. The season will mostly follow Philo (Orlando Bloom) and his conflicts regarding his identity, while stories of love, redemption, and war continue to blossom in this Victorian period piece drama.

More characters are expected to join the show, and with a wider, more inclusive cast Carnival Row Season 2 is going to be a fascinating journey through magical times.
