The fans of Minecraft have been waiting for its Nether update since, what seems like, ages. This update has been dubbed the ‘Minectaft’s next big adventure’ which has the fans even more excited to see what’s in store! Well, here is everything you need to know about its release:
Minecraft’s Nether Update Release
The makers of this sandbox video game have announced that the long-promised Nether update will release on June 23, 2020! This update will be releasing across the various versions of the game including: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, Windows 10, and more! The update will also be available on the Java version, and will roll out on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux during the same day.
What Does The Nether Update Hold??
The drab underground of Minecraft will soon undergo a massive change: it is going to turn both pretty and menacing. And there is sure to be lots of lava! The new update is also bringing with it, new biomes like Soulsand Valley and Netherwart Forest. You will also see some new friends (or foes) in the form of Piglins. The official Nether update website describes this world as: ‘an ancient realm that lies beyond the Overworld, unexplored by most players’.
What New Updates Will We See?
This new update will bring new blocks, biomes and mobs! There will also be a new material: Netherite, which is stronger than diamonds. However, the only way to gain this Netherite is to salvage it from the debris left by the Piglins. These Piglins are grumpy creatures who may be willing to trade items for the right goods. There are, of course, new enemies as well, in the form of Hoglins. They look like Hogs and want to kill you. However, you can hunt them too! Another new block coming with the new update is the target block.
