OK! So let’s settle these rumors which have spread like wildfire. Stories of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3090 are making rounds online.
The three new Graphic cards
As mentioned above, this Twitter handle claims that NVIDIA is launching three new Ampere-based graphic cards. Firstly, a GeForce RTX 3090 with 12 GB GDDR6X at 21Gbps. Secondly, a GeForce RTX 3080, which will feature 10 GB of GDDR6 at 19Gbps. And lastly, a TITAN RTX that will come with 24GB of GDDR6X at 17Gbp.
Interestingly, the new GeForce RTX 3080 and GeForce RTX 3090 will come with a second processor located at the back, known as the Traversal Coprocessor.
Talking about the speed, it is rumored that the new GeForce RTX 3090 will be 60%-90% faster in performance. If this holds any truth, this can be a game-changer.
The production begins around August or September this year.
NVIDIA is also known to change the name of the cards last minute. Therefore, there is a possibility that the names are not yet finalized.
Now whether the next-gen TITAN is a GDDR6 or GDDR6X based is still a question mark. Also, there is no news of any new production. However, we do know that it will come with a memory of 24 GB. With this, we still don’t know what the name of the new NIVIDA TITAN is. There are two instances of tweets mentioned above, but none has said anything about its name.
A lot of speculations are going on regarding the cards. But it’s hard to believe the rumor surrounding given that GeForce RTX 3090. Why? Because the xx90 line-up usually features a dual-GPU setup.
Another Twitter handle, ‘_rogame’ claims the following:
GA102 with 24GB of VRAM,
GA102 with 12GB of VRAM,
and GA102 with 10GB of VRAM.
