Jacqueline Ray, born in Burbank, California, started her career as a model in the 1960s. She made appearances in many fashion magazines. She, later on, started acting for TV shows and movies. Ray is best known for her roles in The New Mike Hammer, Magnum, P.I. and TV series Unfabulous.
She also made appearances in The Killings at Outpost Zeta, Beyond the Universe, Marcus Welby, M.D., and more. Although her modelling and acting career were at the peak, her career came to a halt when she herself handled a few of her family matters. Tom Selleck was Jacqueline’s second husband. She divorced him in 1982. Afterwards, she married and divorced Clarence Barry Witmer.
How did Jacqueline Ray land in jail?
Jacqueline hired an assassin to kill her son-in-law after she learnt that her daughter was being abused by her husband. Instead of approaching the police, she got her son-in-law, Leon Bauchum killed.
According to various sources, she had paid $12,000 to Luis Barker to kill Bauchum.
Ray was charged for second-degree murder and is currently in jail, serving her 18-years of imprisonment. The assassin was sentenced to 29 years of imprisonment. During the investigation, Ray highlighted that Bauchum was not only abusing her daughter but also her grandchildren. Till date, very little is known about Jacqueline Ray’s daughter, Umeko Ray.
