“A Bay Bay” famed rapper Hurricane Chris, originally named Christopher Dooley Jr. has been charged for second-degree murder in Louisiana.
Arrested by the Shreveport Police on Friday, June 19, Dooley was charged with second-degree murder and illegally having stolen things in possession.
What exactly happened as reported by the police?
After it was reported to the police that a person was found in a gas station suffering from multiple gunshots, he was quickly rushed to the hospital. But the doctors declared him dead. The Shreveport Police released a statement on press shortly after the incident, somewhere around 1 a.m.
When interrogated by the police, Dooley, 31 said that he went into the gas station’s store. There a man tried to steal his vehicle and in an attempt to stop him he shot him. He said that he did so in self-defense.
But the video footage shows the contrary. Police further told that the car Dooley was driving was stolen from Texas.
Dooley has been held at the city jail without bond. The records state that he hasn’t yet given any information regarding his lawyer to defend him.

Christopher Dooley Jr. is a native of Shreveport. He rose to fame with his 2007 album “51/50 Bay” which was also his debut studio album. The record gained 24th position on the US Billboard 200 and sold more than 60,000 copies in the first week. It includes the hit song “A Bay Bay” which was his commercial debut single. The music video has garnered nearly 30 million views on YouTube.
He released his second album on December 21, 2009. The album was titled Unleashed. The album did not chart internationally but gained 46th position on the US Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. It also gained 20th position on the US Billboard’s Top Rap Albums charts.
