Recently, an episode in Wisconsin, USA, proved that humanity is still alive in the hearts of people. A family rescued a bear and freed him of his misery while fishing.
Tricia Hurt, a resident of Wisconsin, was out and about on a family fishing trip. Her husband, Brandy, and son, Brian, also accompanied her. While fishing in Marsh-Miller lake, they came across a troubled bear, struggling in the pond. He had a plastic jar stuck on his head.
How did the family help the Bear?
On spotting the helpless Bear, the family decided to help him. They went near the young Bear on their boat, and Brian tried to pull the container out of the animal’s head. Although his first attempt was a fail, it did not get in the way rescuing the Black Bear.
In a statement to CNN, Tricia said, “We knew that if we didn’t do something, we are pretty sure it would not have made it to shore.”
In another attempt, the family succeeds in helping the distressed Bear and pulls off the cheese balls jar from the animal’s face. Tricia captured the rescue in a video and posted it over Facebook. Tricia said, “We were so excited! We did our good deed for the day. We will never do this again, and it felt good to help the poor Bear. You don’t like to see animals struggle.
Moreover, in the video, she can be heard exclaiming, “Yes! We saved our little Bear. Swim happy.”
Not only did the video receive a lot of appreciation in the comment section, but also it got viewed over 800,000 times.
Her caption read- “Never dreamt we would ever do this in our lifetime. Out on Marshmiller Lake with Brian Hurt and Brandy Hurt when we spotted this poor Bear. He made it to shore after all that.”
