The famous American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, media personality, entrepreneur, and actor Snoop Dogg is all set to cast his vote in this year’s elections after being acquitted from the charges held against him. What’s even more surprising is the fact that this will be the very first time he will be voting.
How do we know this?
On Thursday, 04 June 2020, Snoop Dogg joined Big Boy on the Real 92.3, where he made some shocking revelations and went on to share his opinions regarding the upcoming presidential elections in the USA, which takes place in November this year.
Snoop Dogg said, “I ain’t never voted a day in my life, but this year I think Imma get out and vote because I can’t stand to see this punk in the office one more year,” Snoop further added about his voting rights, “For many years they had me brainwashed thinking that you couldn’t vote cause you had a criminal record. I didn’t know that. My record’s been expunged, so now I can vote.”
What were the criminal charges?
Apparently many. For those unaware, the rapper has been involved in many controversial cases in many countries for carrying marijuana, misbehaving with airport authorities and in airport shops, possessing arms and weapons, and his name was included in a murder case of a rival gang member in 1993.
Snoop Dogg even voiced his stand for George Floyd’s case and its aftermath in the show by stating, “Let’s be real, I’ve white faces looting, running out of stores, setting fires, throwing bricks, that’s not our forte,” Snoop said. “That ain’t what we do, we steal. We don’t set fires and all that.”
Now that are definitely some bold statements from Snoop Dogg to miss out.
