Thanks to Marvel Cinematic Universe, we have some memorable and irreplaceable roles which were played by fabulous actors. We are sure fans of some of them as well. But there is a lot more to the story before someone’s fate shines enough to eventually end up on the big screen.
One of them would be Amanda Seyfried, well known for her roles in Mean Girls and Mamma Mia! Seyfried was apparently in talks to play the role of ‘Gamora’ one of Thanos’ daughters in 2014 released ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ by filmmaker James Gunn.
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Amanda talks about why she stepped back from such an important role so many years back. She said, “I think about it often. I’m not really a Marvel movie watcher, which is, I think, why I was just like, ‘Ah, I don’t wanna be green. It’s just so much work.’
I remember Jennifer Lawrence talking about once, how long it took her to get blue. And I was like, ‘That seems like hell on earth,’ because then you get to set and you’re only there for a couple of hours, and then you have to take everything off. And that was literally the reason.”
And that’s the real reason folks! It’s really a personal choice for anyone to independently decide to put their comfort level first. As we all know, Gamora was finally played by Zoe Saldana, who undoubtedly aced it with her performance.
Coming to the trilogy of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ the production for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ was supposed to begin early this year. Still, reportedly James Gunn will begin the third part’s production after completing with ‘The Suicide Squad’ for Warner Bros. and DC. Although we are yet unaware of the accurate details, it is believed that the upcoming film will likely deal with the aftermath of the events of Avengers: Endgame.
James Gunn has acknowledged that Rocket’s past will be playing an essential role in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’. The upcoming film will surely star Zoe Saldana along with other important characters of the previous ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ series.
